Frequently asked questions

Can I connect the tester to a live PoE port?

Yes. The tester has built-in protection up to 60 V and measures PoE voltage from 5 to 60 V.

Which cables can I test?

Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A network cables with an RJ45 connector.

How is this different from a certification meter?

With this tester you check termination, length, PoE and the switch port on site. A certification meter measures link performance and produces a handover report. This tester isn't meant for that.

How do I charge the tester?

Via USB-C. The battery is 3.7 V, 1500 mAh. The tester switches itself off after 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes.
