The OM4 MM Armored Fiber Optic Cable LC/LC Duplex in 3M is built for links that run through cable trays and conduits, where the cable is exposed to pulling force and bending along the way.
The armoured metal tube keeps the cable intact during routing and prevents kinks on runs that lie out of direct sight.
This way the multimode patch cord withstands higher pulling tension than an ordinary patch cord, while the OM4 fibre delivers high, stable bandwidth.

Technical features
This lc to lc fiber patch cord is built around an OM4 50/125 µm multimode fibre with a metal armour tube and a 3.0 mm LSZH outer jacket.
The duplex LC/UPC connectors offer a typical insertion loss of ≤0.20 dB and return loss of ≥30 dB (MM UPC).
Maximum pulling tension is 200 N (installation) / 400 N (permanent). Effective modal bandwidth is ≥4700 MHz·km at 850 nm, with attenuation up to 3.0 dB/km.
Operating temperature -20 °C to +70 °C; compliant with TIA-492AAAD, RoHS and REACH. Minimum bend radius: 20D/10D. Indoor use only.
