The OM4 MM Armored Fiber Optic Cable LC/LC Duplex in 7.5M is made to cover bigger distances — for example between equipment that sits a few racks apart. The longer a cable runs, the more it can get knocked, bent or pinched along the way.
That is why this cable is "armoured": a metal protective layer wraps around the delicate glass fibre, so the cable stays intact even on longer runs.

Technical features
This om4 fiber multimode cable uses OM4 glass fibre (50/125 µm) — a high-quality fibre that carries a lot of data quickly.
At 7.5M distance is no concern at all: the om4 multimode fiber distance reaches up to 550 m at 10G, so the multimode om4 max distance leaves huge headroom here.
The connection has low insertion loss (the small signal loss at the connector): typically ≤0.20 dB. A metal armour tube surrounds the fibre, wrapped in a 3.0 mm LSZH jacket in Erika Violet.
The cable works between -20 °C and +70 °C and meets TIA-492AAAD, RoHS and REACH. Do not bend it tighter than 20D (moving) or 10D (fixed). Indoor use only.
