At each end of this lc lc cable sits an LC connector with UPC polish — a connector type whose sharp geometry causes very little signal loss at each coupling.

The cable itself is single mode fibre to the G.652D standard, with a 9/125 micron core (where 9 refers to the diameter of the light-carrying core in micrometres and 125 to the cladding around it).

Through this narrow channel, light travels in a straight line, keeping the signal stable across long routes.

Insertion loss (signal drop within the cable itself) stays typically around 0.20 dB. Return loss (the bit of light bouncing back) climbs above 50 dB.

The outer LSZH jacket releases very little smoke and no halogen during fire, and a 2.2 mm metal layer beneath protects the fibre. The cable runs from -20°C to +70°C and meets RoHS, REACH and IEC60332-1. Built for indoor use.
