The mechanical side of this cable is where the armoured build shows itself. Between the outer jacket and the optical core sits a metal layer that absorbs physical load — pressure, bending and the rough handling of busy cable trays.

Pull tension comes in at 400 N (40 kg), enough to lift a moderately heavy adult, and the impact resistance sits at 5J. That makes the cable ready for repeated use and long operational life.

The LSZH outer jacket also deserves attention. LSZH stands for 'Low Smoke Zero Halogen' — during fire, very little smoke is released and the jacket gives off no halogen compounds.

That behaviour matters in enclosed spaces where people work, and the cable meets the IEC60332-1 standard for single-cable flame retardancy.
