Technical details
The outer layer of this lc fibre cable is LSZH (a jacket that releases very little smoke and no halogen during fire). Beneath that sits a 2.2 mm metal reinforcement layer that protects the glass fibres.
At the heart of this 9/125 fiber optic cable lies G.652D single mode glass — a worldwide standard, where '9' refers to the diameter of the light-carrying core in micrometers and '125' to the cladding around it.
Through that narrow channel, light travels in a straight line, keeping the signal stable across kilometre-long routes.
Insertion loss — the small drop in signal as light moves through the cable — sits typically around 0.20 dB.
Return loss, the part of the light that reflects back, stays above 50 dB. Operating range: -20°C to +70°C. Certified to RoHS, REACH and IEC60332-1. Suitable for indoor use.
