Technical features

This SFP+ duplex LC transceiver supports a data rate from 9.95 Gbps to 10.5 Gbps and is designed for 10GBASE-LR/LW applications over singlemode fiber. Optical transmission is handled by a 1310nm uncooled DFB laser with a PIN photodetector on the receiver side. According to the specification, the module supports transmission up to 10 kilometers over 9/125µm core SMF. The module is suitable for 10G Fiber Channel and complies with IEEE 802.3ae, SFF-8431 and SFF-8472.

The recommended power supply voltage is 3.13V to 3.47V, with 3.3V as the typical value. The specified supply current is 285 mA. The commercial operating case temperature is 0°C to +70°C, while the industrial version is specified for -40°C to +85°C. Storage temperature is -40°C to +85°C, and the permitted relative humidity range is 5% to 95%.

The optical transmitter operates within a wavelength range from 1260 to 1355nm, with 1310nm as the typical value. Average launched power is specified between -6 and 0.5 dBm. On the receiver side, the specsheet lists receiver sensitivity at -14.4 dBm and optical power input overload at 0.5 dBm. DDMI information is internally calibrated for temperature, voltage, bias current, TX power and RX power.

This module is intended for professional singlemode fiber routes via duplex LC. It is not an RJ45 copper solution and it is not a 10GBASE-T module. For copper links via RJ45, a separate 10GBASE-T SFP+ transceiver is required.
